About Dr. Hassan

Dr. Hassan is a Consultant Pulmonologist with dual specialist accreditation in Respiratory Medicine and Internal Medicine.

With over a decade of experience in Respiratory Medicine, Dr. Hassan completed his specialist training in London and the Southeast. His journey has taken him through some of the most prestigious hospitals in the world in UK and Ireland, including Saolta University Hospitals, Nottingham University Hospital, Guy’s Hospital, and St Thomas’s Hospital. He has also had the privilege of working at renowned centres for specialized care, such as Harefield Hospital (Lung Transplant) and King’s College Hospital (Cystic Fibrosis).

Dr. Hassan provides specialist services on regular basis for a verity of conditions, including Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Surveillance, Pleural Diseases, Asthma and COPD, Breathlessness, Interstitial Lung Disease, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, and Pulmonary Hypertension. He is competent in performing advanced interventional procedures such as Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), EUS-B, Medical Thoracoscopy, Bronchoscopy, and the management of Indwelling Pleural Catheters (IPC/PleurX), among others.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hassan is passionate about education and has held various academic roles, including Clinical Lecturer, Clerkship Director, and Associate Professor of Medicine. As an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians, he contributes to the training and assessment of future medical professionals. His commitment to clinical research and medical education is further demonstrated by his professional qualifications in these fields, along with Clinical Leadership.

Dr. Hassan’s expertise and contributions have been recognized by esteemed institutions, leading to Fellowship awards from the American College of Chest Physicians, the College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow, and the College of Physicians of London. He is also proud to be a member of the Academy of Medical Educators UK, the Pleural Society UK, the British Thoracic Society, and the British Medical Association.
